 Automatic Voltage Regulator Power Range: 1-400 kVA INFORISE IRG electronic voltage regulators are used to keep main voltage fixed of changing voltages this voltage is stabilized to 220 VAC for single phase machines and 380 VAC for three phase machines. It consists a variable auto transformer and servomotor with electronics circuit. A difference of set voltage and output voltage is sensed by electronic circuit. Depending on polarity of difference it operates a servo motor either in forward or reverse direction. Servo motor moves wiper of autotransforrmer to change primary voltage of autotransformer. Secondary of buck - boost transformer is in series with mains supply hence it will either increase or decrease voltage in output depending on primary voltage of transformer.
